Child Hunger Isn’t Healthy

One of the most disturbing, indeed cruel, ways in which we as a society are failing our children is complacency about the impact of hunger on their lives. From study to study, findings indicate that as many as 1 in 6 children go hungry in the U.S., making them more vulnerable to delayed development and chronic conditions such as asthma, anxiety and, ironically, obesity.

Adding to these burdens, some schools have enacted policies that seem designed to blame & shame impoverished children in front of their peers.
